(Phnom Penh): H.E. Dr. Muhammad Bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, said that the Cambodian people are very lucky to have a respected and realistic leader in leading Cambodia to achieve national and religious harmony as a model for the whole world, he said so on the afternoon of June 23, 2022, in a special lecture on “Our Shared Values and the Civilisational Alliance” at the Royal University of Phnom Penh. The ceremony was also presided over by H.E. Dr. Othsman Hassan, Senior Minister in Charge of Special Missions and Member of the Supreme Council of the Islamic Alliance, Dr. Hangchuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, and H.E. Madam, a senator, a member of the National Assembly, government leaders, rectors, professors, and more than 500 students.
H.E. Dr. Mohammad Abdul Karim al-Isa, Secretary General of the Muslim World League, led a delegation to visit Cambodia from 19 to 25 June 2022. During the seven-day visit, H.E. the Secretary General of the Organization met with His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, King of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Say Chhum, President of the Senate, Samdech Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly, Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, Samdech Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Samdech Tea Banh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, H.E. Dr. Othsman Hassan, Senior Minister in Charge of Special Missions, H.E. Prak Sokhon, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Samdech Tep Vong, Cambodia’s Buddhist Great Supreme Patriarch.
