Libya support Cambodia to become a member of OIC

Phnom Penh: Libya ambassador to Kulalampur, Malaysia H.E Dr ANWAR A.Y. ELFEITORI said “Libya support Cambodia to become a member of OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation)”. This addressing took place while H.E ambassador of Libya courtesy call and meeting with H.E Othsman Hassan, Minister attached to the Prime Minister, secretary of state, Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training and Advisor to Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. In this meeting also had the presence of Oknha Sos Kamry, Chairman of Highest Council for Islamic Religious Affairs Cambodia.

To welcome H.E ambassador of Libya, H.E Othsman Hassan said that I would like to say thank you for coming to visit us. Hope that the visit by H.E ambassador of Libya at this time is an indication of good cooperation between Cambodia and Libya. He continued that after we got the policy from the Royal Government of Cambodia to request Cambodia to become an observer member of OIC and we also thank to Libya that support and help push Cambodia to have the effect on the recognition of becoming an observer member of OIC.

Oknha Sos Kamry, Chairman of Highest Council for Islamic Religious Affairs Cambodia has requested to H.E ambassador the scholarship for Cambodian Muslim student to study in Libya. Responding to the elevation of Okhna Sos Kamry, H.E ambassador has pay attention about this proposal and requested Highest Council for Islamic Religious Affairs Cambodia written a paper through Libya embassy in Kulalampur then the embassy will continue to communicate to the relevant institutions and also send this request to the Islamic Calls Society.
